Sour Cream Coffe Cake

1/2 lb butter
1 c sugar
2 c flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
2 eggs
1 c sour cream
1 tsp vanilla

FILLING:
1 c chopped nuts
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 c sugar
1/2c chopped maraschino cherries

Cream butter and sugar, add eggs, vanilla, and sour cream. Beat thoroughly. sift dry ingredients and add to butter mixture by large spoonfuls, beating after each addition. Put half of batter in greased tube pan. Sprinkle half of filling on top and repeat.
Bake 45 mins at 350 degrees (Warning: addicting!)
